Applications Open for the “Parla” Scholarship and Development Program
Applications are now open for the current academic year’s “Parla” Scholarship and Development Program, implemented by NEQSOL Holding in cooperation with the Education Development Fund to support the education and personal development of female students.
Under the program, 50 selected female students will receive a monthly scholarship of AZN 200. In addition, participants will benefit from various opportunities that will contribute to their professional and personal development. They will have access to internships, mentoring and training, as well as educational programs offered by the world’s leading universities through the NEQSOL Academy and LinkedIn Learning platforms.
Since its launch, the “Parla” program has supported 150 female students across its first, second and thirds cohorts. The “Parla” Alumni Community has been established to ensure the continuity of the program, strengthen professional connections among graduates, promote the exchange of knowledge and experience, and support their personal and professional development. The community is designed to provide program participants with continued access to development, collaboration and networking opportunities after graduation. Various training sessions, mentoring meetings, professional development sessions and networking events are held within the community.
Who Can Apply?
Female students who meet the following requirements are eligible to apply for the “Parla” Scholarship and Development Program:
• Be a citizen of the Republic of Azerbaijan;
• Be enrolled full-time in a bachelor’s degree program at a higher education institution operating in the Republic of Azerbaijan;
• Be studying in one of the fields specified for the program;
• Have scored at least 450 points in the university entrance examination;
• Have an overall academic performance score of above 80%;
• Actively participate in extracurricular activities, including volunteering and social activities;
• Meet at least one of the following social criteria:
- Be a member of a family receiving targeted state social assistance;
- Have no parents or have grown up in an orphanage;
• Have both parents - or, in the case of a single-parent family, that parent - belong to any of the following categories:
- A person whose disability has been determined due to a 31–60%, 61–80% or 81–100% impairment of bodily functions;
- A person registered as unemployed;
- A person who is not employed and receives an old-age labour pension; o A person who is not employed and receives an old-age social benefit.
Note: When selecting first-year students who meet the social criteria listed above, their university entrance examination scores will be considered.
How Will the Selection Process Be Conducted?
Admission to the program consists of three stages:
1. Online Application
Candidates register by completing the online application form within the specified period.
2. Assessment
Candidates’ academic performance and the information they provide are assessed.
3. Interview
Candidates who advance to the next stage are invited for an interview.
During the interview, their goals, social circumstances, student activities and other criteria are taken into consideration.
The interview result will serve as the basis for the final selection. The list of fields of study specified under the program is available here.
